Luxury Rail
Rocky Mountaineer
Glass-dome coaches through the Canadian Rockies and American Southwest. Every mile in daylight.
The Journey Is the Destination
Rocky Mountaineer isn’t a way to get somewhere — it is the somewhere. Four routes through the Canadian Rockies connect Vancouver to Banff, Lake Louise, and Jasper through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery on Earth. And their Canyon Spirit brand brings the same experience to the American Southwest, running from Denver through the red rock canyons to Moab. It’s luxury rail at its absolute finest.
Right now, Rocky Mountaineer is offering $250 per person off select 2026 journeys — including Canyon Spirit’s America Celebrates 250th route through the Southwest.
GoldLeaf — The Way to Do It
GoldLeaf service is Rocky Mountaineer at its peak. Bi-level glass-dome coaches seat you on the upper level with floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor viewing platform. Below, a dedicated dining room serves elegantly plated meals from Executive Chefs using regional ingredients — think Alberta striploin and Fraser Valley steelhead. It’s fine dining at 30 miles per hour with glaciers sliding past the windows.
Every Mile in Daylight
Every journey runs exclusively during daylight hours. You’ll never sleep through a mountain pass or miss a waterfall. Overnight stops in Kamloops or Quesnel let you rest at a hotel, then reboard refreshed for the next day’s scenery. This isn’t an overnight sleeper train — it’s a curated visual experience.
Destinations & Experiences
The Canadian Rockies routes pair naturally with stays in Alaska (pre- or post-cruise), and Canyon Spirit connects to Patagonia-level landscapes without leaving North America. For curated group trips, Rocky Mountaineer’s 2027 small group departures are already booking. The luxury rail experience here is genuinely unlike anything else — there’s a reason two million guests have done it.
Why Book Through Travel Tamers
We’ll match you with the right route, service level, and package — whether that’s a 2-day First Passage to the West or a 10-day grand adventure with Alaska cruise extension. Rocky Mountaineer packages work in both directions and include baggage transfers between train and hotel. We coordinate everything so the logistics disappear and all you see are mountains.
