Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Travel Tamers website (traveltamers.com and associated subdomains) and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our services.

Travel Tamers is operated by Shane Harter and Debby Harter as an independent affiliate of Nexion Travel Group, a Curio Holdings Company. References to "we," "us," or "our" refer to Travel Tamers.

Services

Travel Tamers provides travel advisory, planning, and booking services. We act as an intermediary between you ("client," "you") and travel suppliers including but not limited to airlines, cruise lines, hotels, resorts, tour operators, car rental companies, travel insurance providers, and destination management companies.

All travel bookings are subject to the terms, conditions, and cancellation policies of the respective travel suppliers. We are not a direct provider of travel services and do not own, operate, or control any airline, cruise ship, hotel, or tour.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of information we provide, including pricing, availability, and itinerary details. However, travel suppliers may change prices, schedules, and availability at any time without notice. Confirmed pricing is only guaranteed once a booking is fully ticketed or deposited per the supplier's policies.

Booking and Payment

• Deposits and payments: Bookings typically require a deposit per the travel supplier's policy. We will clearly communicate deposit amounts, payment schedules, and final payment deadlines before you commit to any booking.
• Payment processing: Payments are processed by the travel supplier or through Nexion Travel Group's PCI-compliant payment systems. We do not store credit card numbers.
• Price changes: Prices are subject to change until fully booked and deposited. We are not liable for price increases that occur before a booking is confirmed.
• Currency: All prices are quoted in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies vary by travel supplier and are governed by the supplier's terms. We will communicate applicable cancellation policies and penalties before you confirm any booking. Key points:

• Cancellation penalties are set by the travel supplier, not by Travel Tamers
• Some bookings are non-refundable once confirmed -- we will clearly disclose this before booking
• Travel insurance is strongly recommended and can protect against cancellation penalties, trip interruption, and medical emergencies
• Refunds, when available, are processed by the travel supplier and may take 4-12 weeks depending on the vendor
• Travel Tamers is not responsible for refund delays caused by suppliers

Fees and Compensation

Our primary compensation comes from commissions paid by travel suppliers when bookings are made through our agency. This is the standard compensation model throughout the travel advisory industry. These commissions do not increase the price you pay -- suppliers pay the same price to us as they would to any other authorized seller.

For most bookings, we do not charge advisory or planning fees. In cases where a service fee applies (e.g., complex multi-destination itineraries, research-intensive requests, or bookings with suppliers that do not pay commissions), the fee will be disclosed and agreed upon before any work begins. You will never be charged a fee without prior notice.

Travel Documents and Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure you have valid travel documents, including:

• A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates (for international travel)
• Any required visas, entry permits, or transit visas
• Proof of vaccinations or health certificates as required by your destination(s)
• Any other documentation required by airlines, cruise lines, or immigration authorities

While we may provide general guidance on travel document requirements, we are not immigration attorneys and cannot guarantee the accuracy of entry requirements, which change frequently. You are solely responsible for verifying current requirements with the relevant consulate, embassy, or government authority.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance for all trips. Travel insurance can protect against trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergencies, evacuation, lost baggage, and travel delays. We can provide quotes and facilitate travel insurance purchases through our preferred providers.

If you decline travel insurance, you accept full financial responsibility for any losses resulting from cancellation, interruption, medical emergency, or other covered events.

Limitation of Liability

Travel Tamers acts solely as an intermediary between you and travel suppliers. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any acts, omissions, defaults, negligence, or bankruptcy of any travel supplier, including but not limited to cancellations, delays, schedule changes, overbookings, equipment failures, or service quality issues
• We are not liable for any injury, illness, death, property damage, or other loss arising from travel or travel-related activities
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total fees (if any) paid directly to Travel Tamers for the specific service in question

We are not responsible for events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government actions, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, mechanical failures, or other force majeure events.

Assumption of Risk

Travel involves inherent risks. By booking travel through Travel Tamers, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with travel, including but not limited to health risks, safety hazards, political instability, natural disasters, and other unforeseen events. Adventure travel, expedition cruises, and travel to remote destinations carry additional risks that you accept when participating.

Communication and Slack Connect

We may communicate with you through email, phone, Slack Connect channels, website chat (Buddy), text message, or other channels. By engaging with us through any of these channels, you consent to receiving communications through those channels.

Slack Connect channels are governed by Slack's Terms of Service in addition to these Terms. Messages in Slack channels may be visible to members of your organization who have access to the channel.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Travel Tamers website -- including text, images, logos, design elements, and code -- is the property of Travel Tamers or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

Destination photographs on our website are used under license from Unsplash, travel suppliers, and other sources as credited. These images remain the property of their respective owners.

Website Use

You agree not to:

• Use our website for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our website
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from our website by automated means without permission
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using our services

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in the state of Georgia. The prevailing party may be entitled to reasonable attorney's fees.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
